Trip around the Marmara Sea: Eceabat - Çanakkale - Truva - Bursa

Hey everybody !!!
The purpose of this weekend was to make a trip all around the Marmara sea and to see something special...You will see...
It was good and I discover some very nice place... But everithing was not perfect...

On Friday morning, I took a bus from Istanbul which reachs Çanakkale by the north of the Marmara Sea.

After crossing Gelibolu, we took a ferry in Eceabat to cross the Dardanelles Detroit...

On the other side, you can see Çanakkale...

The entrance of the detroit...

Eceabat...

I was in Çanakkale in the beginning of the afternoon and the first target was to visit Truva (Troy)... 20 km from there...

With the Horse everybody understand now...:-)

"Geographically, Troy is set at a strategic point, at the crossroads of two continents where trade routes converge. The signifiance of Troy is not due only to the value of the archeological finds discovered here, but also to the skill of Homer, the famous bard from Izmir, who immortalized Troy in "The Iliad". This epic story has proved to have a lasting attraction throughout the ages"

I stayed one night in Çanakkale... I discovered a beautifull city... In perpetual motion with his port where disembark cars and passengers all night long... I really like...

The esplanade where you can drink some beer...

Sorry but the pictures were not nice so I skip to show the day after...

On Saturday morning, I took my breakfast there... It was so nice........

After a bit of walking in the city... It was time to move to the next stage: Bursa...by hitch-hiking...

I met Mehmet. engineer in construction, with who I did 240 km to Bursa... He speaks English so it was nice...

He invits me to eat in that restaurant to make me discover a special döner from Bursa... It was very delicious...

Thanks again Mehmet and if you read these lines, please let in comment the name of this delicious meal...

After having a full stomach, it was time to visit Bursa...

This is the market...

A kind of Bazar...

Unfortunatelly, it was raining a lot... I was soaked... After 2 hours, that was enough, I went to an Hotel to dry my clothes and to have a long sleep...

In Sunday morning, the weather was great...a bit cold but like I like...My clothes were still a bit wet... But the aim of the morning was willing me...

The mosquee... built in 1400...

The municipality building...

The goal of this morning was to see something I was looking for: the snow !!!

Hence, direction the cable-car (teleferik) to reach the top of the mountain Ulüdağ...

That was the first view of snow...

And this is the cable-car...

Unfortunatelly, the cable-car was closed due to the wind on the top... I was so disappointed...

Fucked up, I decided to go back directly to Istanbul (by bus)...

On the way to the bus station...

The end was not so nice but I know that I will come back there.. Indeed, here takes place the resort to ski... So don't worry, I will come back...That's for sure...
