PLAN, last update 2012/05/01

Hi,

Not so much travel so not so much to post here since I have started my working life... But keep posted... Things can always change ;)

In the meantime, I wish the blog might still help you traveling. I will still be available for any question!

Cheers,

Van-IRAN-ARMENIA-GEORGIA

For this post, I won't speak too much... Sometimes, there is no word to explain some experiences...

First step, on the way to Van ("Turkish Kurdistan")...

The Van lake...

In the bus, I met Ahmet, student in Medecine who host me for 2 days... I visited the city by walk and in the evening, we met his friends...

Yes... He is sleeping !

The castle...

It was time to go to Iran... I wanted to pass by Doğubeyazit (at the border with Iran) but I probably took the wrong bus and I was there finally on the night... To not lost time, I decided to cross directly the border and to get Tabriz...

On the way to Iran...

First steps in Iran... Tabriz...

Here is Nasser... the "white wolf" of Tabriz... If you pass by Tabriz, you have to meet him...

He is THE guide !

The traditionnal food of Tabriz: the "Dizi"... Delicious !

The Market...

...and the Bazar

After 2 days in Tabriz... direction Shiraz in the south by night bus... in this kind of bus... the worst I have ever taken...

In Shiraz, I started by visiting some gardens...

The Hafes tomb...

The second day, in the morning, on the way to Persepolis...

Persepolis...

Back to Shiraz for the afternoon to finish the visit of the city...

The Bazar...

There, I met Rezi with who I spent the whole afternoon...

The next step was Isfahan... I took a bus by night and I arrived there early in the morning...

I met Deniz, turkish guy, at the hostel and we went for visiting the city...

Some species...

Sılk carpets...

...and Roberto, Italian, that we met thereafter... we visited a bit together with also some Iranians...

A tea house...

...with some specialities !

Then, I took again a bus by night to Tehran, the Capitale city... I arrived also early in the morning and I started the visit... Around noon, I met some students who host me...

I took rests and spent time with them for my last days in Iran...

A bakery...

It was time to think of going back to Istanbul... On the way back, the 2 last stages were Erevan (Armenia) and Tbilisi (Georgia)... I took another bus by night to get Erevan...
The mother of Armenia...

Ararat overhangs the city...
The Market...
The speciality here is the Cognac... This company is owned by the French group Pernaud-Ricard...

The Republic Square...

Kind of Bazar...
After 2 days, I took this time a train but still by night to get Tbilisi in Geogia... The last city of the trip...

The mother of Georgia...

The main street...

Here finishes this nice adventure full of experiences and meetings.... The last evening, on the way back to Istanbul, I found the Black sea coasts back, showing a beautifull sunset...
