PLAN, last update 2012/05/01

Hi,

Not so much travel so not so much to post here since I have started my working life... But keep posted... Things can always change ;)

In the meantime, I wish the blog might still help you traveling. I will still be available for any question!

Cheers,
Simon

Bhatauli

Here are some pictures of Vatuli, small Maji village in Ramechap district, 9 hours away from Kathmandu. I am currently working on a project with a French association, Epaupee, to build up a school down there.

The family who is housing us for this 3 months project:

Ramechur alias "Jean-Mich", the boss...

Rosina, his wife...

And the kids:

Lakchmi...

Puja...

Tica...

Ganga...

Jamuna...

EPAUPEE and the family, the white faces from left to right:

Coralie, Magalie, Nicolas, Alisee, Julien alias "Sadhu", and Remi alias "Beloute"

Here are some picture of our living places:

The kitchen...

The room for 4-5 people...

The bathroom...

The project consists of the construction of a new school. We had to destroy the old school first... the last 3 weeks were quite hard: lot of work, and some troubles with the community which kind of lazy and try to scam us every time...

The old school...

Destruction...

Leveling...

Project completed:

New building...

1000L Water-tank...

Here is a picture of "the Hobbit", director of the School Committee...

One morning, we woke up with a strange sound of drums coming from the house next to us... A ceremony was taking place. A ritual called Gaijatra which consists in danse, sacrifice of chickens and praying to fight against illness...

Some pictures of locals...

The surroundings of the village...
